That was my Google search. It basically turned up nothing, btw. The French have a thing against air conditioning. Many of them also leave town in July and August. The D’Orsay seems to have pretty good air conditioning, supposedly the Louvre is not as air conditioned as they claim. And the big Bon Marche’ store is air conditioned. Might need to hang out there tonight; it’s going to 94F today. At least I was finally able to find and buy a fan (albeit overpriced).
“Public air conditioning in Paris”

So true, it’s amazingly hot in here, and there is no air conditioning. Just Wow!
I am also experiencing problems with finding cold water when walking around the streets.
Cold water? Or any drinking water? Can you believe in a city this beautiful and civilized, there are no drinking fountains? Continues to amaze me!
There is a ice cold water fountain at Pierre Berge Fondation where the Yves St. Laurent collection is housed. Visit the museé and have cool draught.
I also found an elaborate green iron fountain on Ile St. Louis about a block from the St. Michel station. Not a drinking fountain, per se, but one with a stream of fresh water where you could refill your water bottle, if not take a sip from the fountain directly. Wish there were more. Very much needed right now.
I discovered something else tonight, but I’m not sure I like it. There are water fountains on the outside of those bathroom thingies in the street. But I must admit, I’m a little … no a LOT suspicious about getting water from a toilet machine.
